The lineup this year is HOT y'all - filled with legendary and up and coming talent all throughout the weekend - Capital Jazz Festival #32, happening Friday June 6th through Sunday June 8th, is going to be the best time ever!

Merriweather Post Pavilion, located in the heart of Columbia and one of the premier venues of our city, is so excited to welcome The 2025 Capital Jazz Festival back to the city for a 32nd year of jazz fun and genre bending pleasure. Filled with friends and loved ones all around, the fest is slated to be one of its best years to date - and has some of the best headliners we’ve seen at the venue too. The Capital Jazz Festival got its start back in the early 1990s - created of course for the love of Jazz and good vibes, but also to bring in other genres, R&B Soul and Funk, to the forefront and to the community. The festival's core goal was always “Jazz plus soul music... the grown and sexy vibe” and never to make the largest festival in the country - but the most genuine one. And Merriweather is a key partner in creating that vibe - the festival grounds are surrounded by the trees and a real camp vibe, allowing folks to bring their blankets, hang out, meet new people, and connect! The festival has also seen a star studded lineup before - alumni performances include Chaka Khan, Maxwell, Frankie Beverly, and Erykah Badu.
